So far I've completed 99% of all side quest and finished with the minutemen, I've got to go back at some point and try different factions endings, I'm currently lvl78.

You can use console commands to reset/roll back/modify quest progress. Maybe you can roll back your faction-deciding quest so you don't have to load your save?

Hit 13 last night, it was like someone flipped a switch, unlocked some new weapon mods and I can now 1 shot most things with my sniper rifle.

Power armour and cores seem to just appear everywhere and ammo has ramped up significantly.

I am enjoying it a lot more however.

Fusion Cores are pretty much everywhere, I have tonnes of them. Power armour looks nice and all, but annoying to use. Breaks too easily, and the HUD bugs me, truth be told.

Only use I've found for power armour is trekking around the glowing sea, but I actually just wore an anti-rad suit that gave me 1000 rad resist. Reduced radiation to <1 99% of the time.

Yeah I've ditched the power armour now that I'm a higher level. I've got a railroad coat that is pretty good defense level. I can't bring myself to sell my vault suit, even though it's utter pap! I've given my husbands wedding ring to Preston too... and equipped it... 'cause y'know... he be mine naw.

lmao.

I'm still wearing my wedding ring. The other one is in a draw in Sanctuary in the house I built for myself (everyone else gets the crummy house remains, I built my own place :p) along with the holotape from him (I forget his name, and yes, I am playing as a chick) and the YOU'RE S.P.E.C.I.A.L. book. Then I have two-and-a-half magazine racks full of magazines and a bobblehead stand that's over 50% completed.

I keep finding Cait sleeping in my bed. Oi! Shift it! I mean, I know I romanced her first, but then I also romanced Curie. Seems errbody gettin' it on with errbody else out in the wasteland.

So, previously you had to read the books/magazines to get the stat increase (at least I think you did), how do they work now?

Once you pick up the magazine, you immediately gain its bonus effects (in the form of a new perk or an additional level in a perk), such as Astoundingly Awesome Tales gives you different perks per magazine (usually a +5% damage to something, or a -5% damage taken from something, but since the perks are all different focusses ('robots', 'super mutants', 'at night') you get a different perk per magazine) whereas other magazines have an actual perk tree (Each perk giving you +5% to something or other, such as Grognak the Barbarian, which I think is +5% melee damage per level) if the bonus is always the same.

I've got ALL DA BOBBLEHEADS!

Yeah but I bet you looked up their locations :p

I've only found about 3-4 bobble heads :/

To be fair, I am almost level 40 and I've done a lot of exploring.

My first playthrough had me using power armor constantly, but now.. meh.. the HUD is definitely annoying and it just feels too bulky. Maybe if there was a lightweight version.

The Ballistic weave mod that railroad give you is epic, adding that to your Trilby hat and Army fatigues. I'm walking around with 300 defence, who needs power armour.

Made my way to goodneighbour last night, only the supermutants that seem to be troubling me at the moment and making the Freedom Trail a bit of a pain for Lv14.

I seem to be amassing a lot of legendaries now but its mostly junk, maybe its a build thing?

I found the freedom trail completely by accident (did you meet Swan yet? :)) and couldn't figure out how to 'keep following' it until ages later I finally figured it out. Felt like a right idiot.

Met and Killed him on the 3rd attempt by pure fluke. Spoiler - I hid in a little bus to heal up and found he just stood outside it like a gorm!

Im only trying to get the ballistic fibre mod from the railroad guys (any tips on speeding this up would be appreciated)

Need to do a few mission for PAM, looking out for Jackpot Quest "DIA cache" missions and complete that, then you speak to "Tinker Tom" He should mention about Cache discovered and then allow you to buy things from him. After that just go to Armour work bench and should be unlocked.

I'm trying to get all the companion perks. Have so far done the dirty with Cait, Piper, Preston, Macready & Paladin Danse. Think I'll start on Deacon next!

Near the end now, with all the exploring I've done I have a huge weapons stash with more of the power weapons than I know what to do with :p

Best gun is an exploding ammo submachine gun with all the add-ons, followed by 200-damage shotgun... boom

I have somehow gained the ability to one-shot super mutants at level 15, is this normal or is it about time to ramp up the difficulty a bit?

Depends on perks and weapons but a stealth build using a semi decent sniper will one shot them fairly easily. Honestly the one issue I had with this game is that it doesn't scale the npc levels. Once you start heading further out though you run into together things.

I still can't get PReston to follow me, i've definitely hit a glitch there!

Ye its a stealth with a maxed (for my level) sniper rifle. Only thing that really gets me in trouble at the moment is my companion being a numpty and aggro'ing or wandering in front of me. The amount of times I have hit them instead of my target is laughable.

Im disappointed so far with the quests and story, spoiler - the memory sequence was a cut and paste from Max Payne and for the most the generic story is bland and repetitive. I'm determined to finish it however.
