jslate1980 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Hi over half term I migrated all student mailboxes to office365. I have just noticed that I haven't locked down creation of distribution groups, and just found that students have created a few dodgy looking ones. As an administrator is there anyway of removing them or working out who created them? Jon
jslate1980 Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 Forget the question I worked it out.
elsiegee40 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Forget the question I worked it out. Could you post your solution please @jslate1980 ? It could be useful for someone else. Thanks
jslate1980 Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) Yep if you go to admin center > select groups you can select and delete the user created groups. Also you can check which users have been added to the distribution group. Only thing I cannot work out is if a student has created a group can they delete themselves afterwards to cover their tracks? MatthewL Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Nothing stopping them creating their own in their own address book is there?

I believe so, yes. Especially if it's the Office 365 groups functionality. Disable Office 365 Group creations | BFC Networks
