Thought this was an interesting article. Worth sharing on here, what ar eyour thoughts on the speech that would of been given? Especially those of you who have all your survival plans i've read about in the past.

I remember the Protect and Survive film they showed in the 1980s. It gave me nightmares. Seriously, I really didn't think humanity would reach the end of that decade.

Probably nowt! the EMP would stop any broadcast. Anyhow, if one of the current generation devices was set off it's unlikely that the planet would survive anyhow as a nuclear winter would be kicked off.

I heard this discussed on the radio. Each station has an "emergency box" with procedures and material for use when the Queen dies. Every station gets interrupted by the BBC who state "This is the BBC in London" before giving the bad news. Once the interrupt is completed, the station's normal broadcast kicks back in using contents of the box which is more "sombre and respectful music" for the rest of the day.
