Enable Switch User GPO

 

Hi All,

 

Does anyone know where in GP this can be enabled.

 

Sick of users locking there machines then other people coming to teach in a room and having to hold the power button to reset the machine.

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon -> Hide entry points for Fast User Switching

 

Changing this to Disabled should allow others to login.

Also, before we had Imepro to unlock/logoff workstations I made this HTA so I could log them off remotely.

Found this can cause other issues. i.e. staff logs into PC, leaves them selves logged in, walks off to other PC and then changes password leading to their account getting continuously locked out.

 

Getting PC's to shutdown everyday automatically has nearly eradicated the issue this causes for us though and we can easily sort out ant that do arise.
