Cheesywolf Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Does anyone use School Booking with SIMS integration? Does it work well with 2 week timetables? Also is it worth going through Capita or direct with them? We use schoolbooking.com with a two week timetable. You do have to setup the calendar at the start of each year and highlight which week is which but it works well. Using the Zinet client to sync with SIMS it checks for room changes over night and advises if any changes made in SIMS have caused room clashes. You can also manually run the sync utility so the cover supervisor can make room changes and then run the sync tool to upload the newest timetable changes to the system. 1
Gongalong Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Ah, we use Room Booking System with the SIMS integration, not School Booking. Just to clarify.
swiftysw1 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Arggg... Still down!! No answer of calls and Email.. This had happened before! but it was back with days..
10101010 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 I have also left a voicemail and suggested he gets an account on here so he can update and we can get hold of him and not be reliant on his domain address.
Gongalong Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Companies House has a full street address for them of 53 Beaconsfield Road, Hastings, East Sussex https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/07833355 Anyone in or near Hastings? They must have the contact email addresses for all the schools they're hosting, so even a daily update by email is the least they should be doing. We've given up with them now, but would like to recover our future bookings to transfer over.
CumbrianMan Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Not many solutions... The £99 was a bargain! Yep, the £99 was a bargain!
quiet_andy Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Has anyone considered Classroombookings - the open source hassle-free room booking system for schools. and running it on a webserver?
CumbrianMan Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Has anyone considered Classroombookings - the open source hassle-free room booking system for schools. and running it on a webserver? That's one we may have a look at Andy. Boss is back tomorrow so I'm gonna discuss with him a way forward. I'll update here whichever one we go with, but might not be till next week. Got some images to create for SC and then rebuilding. Cheers Alan
swiftysw1 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Hi, We have reverted back to a good old web based spreadsheet shared via Google...
CumbrianMan Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Not looking good eh guys. Website and email contact still down. Time for a new provider I think!
quiet_andy Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I'm already running trials Schoolbooking.com and Roombookingsystem.co.uk. Just unfortunately they are a lot more expensive.

10101010 Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 me to, note his new address Online Schools LTD 86-90 Paul Street London EC2A 4NE
quiet_andy Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 We are back in also, going to use it till the summer then work out where to go next. Really like Roombookingsystem.co.uk but not sure if I can get the money for it with SIMS integration.
CumbrianMan Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Had email back from Tom and he's going to email everyone today/tomorrow.
Gongalong Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 He needed to do that when the outage started...
10101010 Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 just emailed him now suggesting he gets an account on here to keep customers in the picture, it may be a little to late now....
Gongalong Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 It is for us. Love the price, but can't have this level of downtime, made doubly bad by zero communication.
Andy2789 Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Did anyone get an email from Tom in the end? I received nothing and I am going to drop him an email. But I just wanted to know if anyone else has before I moan.
