I have just spoken to Meraki directly and as we are under the 100 device limit we are able to use the full features that are used in the enterprise version at no cost. Apparently we are on the legacy version and can just upgrade to the full version. The only time we will need to pay is if we have more than 100 devices. Good news for us and those with 100 or less.

Yeah, I was about to say, I set up DEP and VPP with Meraki MDM free for our 31 devices this September. I updated all the new iPad Air 2 devices to iOS 9 and I've been able to use all of the new features to manage my iPads. So, I'm presuming it's still fully available for users with < 100 devices.

Sadly I have 175... £4.5k for one year! Maybe I'll just ditch 75 of them and buy 75 of something else instead? Would save money in the long run!

Wow, that's very expensive for that amount of iPads. We currently use Casper/Jamf. Their pricing changes depending on how many devices you have but in blocks. So we're currently paying for the 1000-2999 block. We have around 1000 iPads and about 100 MACS and we pay £6.3k for the year.

That's definitely a possibility!

It's even more expensive when you currently don't pay anything. We're still on a learning curve as far as iPads are concerned, and when we bought them we weren't aware of 'managing costs'. Thankfully we use the free legacy version, so as long as it still works well enough, we're ok regardless of how many devices. Unless of course they take that away too!
