It seems to me like anyone who needs to "think out the box" will be ok. I looked up receptionist, they were very high. I guess people who are doing mundane, repeatable jobs are the most at risk.

If so, I for one welcome our new robot overlords, etc., etc.

About 5 of them sat there all day doing manual reports in excel that could easily be done in SQL Analysis services/ ETL / Data Cubes / sharepoint.

The rest were typing up dictations. We trialled automatic voice recongition software and noted its accuracy. We got rid of the typists who were less accurate than the software.

As most of what I do is fixing human errors, I'd say I'm pretty safe. Until they replace the humans that are making the errors - then my job may be less secure!
