I was just going to post about this when I saw your post.

 

I have to say I don't like it at the moment, but perhaps it will grow on me?

I quite like it now, although I didn't initially.

 

I think it's meant to look a little childish.

I'm not keen on it! Like Arthur said it does look childish. Don't know what was wrong with the old logo, was nice and clean.

Love it, looks fresh and modern. The old one looks old fashioned and fussy.

'modern' logos with flat colour and no 3d effects are all the rage right now. I suspect they're looking to rebrand themselves a little since Alphabet.

I like it. It looks fresh and crisp. And is presumably more versatile.

It looks OK, but all they seemed to do was change font.

Nice and fresh. The old font was looking a bit dated. It's good to freshen up your image with contemporary trends every so often.

I like the pastel chalk version of it in the animation; then they go and colour it in solid right at the end.

Is There Any Difference Between Google's & Microsoft's Colours?

 

As described by Google, the brand's Material Design Colors are supposed to represent reality, and this is why they have a lower saturation. Google's "Material design" is about "real world" materials, so it is expected from Google to use real life colors.

 

On the other hand, Microsoft, which is also a digital brand, uses much brighter and saturated colors that may be more related to the digital world and the computer screen than the “real world”. It seems like Microsoft used the colors from the digital world, and Google is pushing “real life” colors into the digital world.

I like it. The old logo looks a bit "Times New Roman" and old fashioned to me
