3s-gtech Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 What brand of IWB is it? I had similar with a Smartboard, I rolled back to an older version of the software which got it working as expected again. I don't like v11+!
sydborn Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 Thanks for your reply £s-gtech.The brand is Smart boeard 800 DViT.if i have the software i might try installing an older version and see what happens.
Rob_D Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 We've had of similar problems with SmartBoards and powerpoint in the past. Make sure you have the latest .net, and VSTO updates. Also for Smart-V11 upwards you can't annotate documents that are read only, this is includes if they are open on another computer (this one catches our teachers out quite a bit).

Thanks,is .NET Framework 4.5 okay?and also is Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office system (version 3.0 Runtime) (x86) okay for this?
ITGURU Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 We've had other issues with Smartboards and Powerpoint when going full screen. When you move slides if leaves blocks / part images of the previous slide and kind of splits up the graphics! I find smart software resource hungry and slows down machines by extremes. Prefer the Numonics and Genieboards that we have.

Yeah, w're using .net 4.5 and VSTO 3.0 with smart 15 and the power point annotations seem to work ok. It was definatly fine with Smart 11 and 14. If you've got the admin download for smart (with the msi) then it should include installers for the recommended versions of net and Visual studio tools, and possibly flash come with it.

Hi, thanks I downloded the vsto 3.0 and it worked on one of the staff but they are all back tuesday next week so will do same for anyone who has same problem hopefully it will work. but another issue was "i was able to write on the right hand side of the smartboard but can't write on the left hand side of the smartboard don't know why? " I have caliberated it and smartboard software says everything is working fine.
