Dos_Box Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 As Amazon are having their big Prime sale today and many of you are subscribers, I think it would be a good idea if we have this thread so you can post up any offers which may be of interest to members i.e. gadgets, gaming, audio and computer stuff as many of these are on the flash sale for a short time only. Arreks Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate going in the sale but not the chroma version which is what I want.. grr..
Garacesh Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Good thinking, @CAM. If anyone sees any fitness bands in the Sub-£50 section, speak up! I hear good things about the Xiaomi Mi but I wouldn't be opposed to spending a bit extra on a more reputable make.. But I don't want all the fancyful extras like emails/texts etc. None of that. Just a dedicated device for fitness/heart rate/etc.

Garacesh Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Yeah but at <£20 it's not a massive issue to pay full price is it? xD

Garacesh Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Sony Mobile SWR10 SmartBand Activity Tracking Wristband: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics - £28 Oooh thanks. That looks to be about what I'm after. Ordered!
LosOjos Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 They're (as usual) being rather devious about the actual amount of discount you receive. There's a Raspberry Pi starter kit doing the rounds on Twitter for instance that claims to be reduced from £130 to just £50, but in actual fact I ordered the exact same kit a little over a month ago for £60. It's still a discount, and still a great price for the kit you get, but I do think it's incredibly immoral to do this.
Garacesh Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Stockists have likely increased their prices pre-empting the sale. Which I agree is a dodgy tactic. It happens everywhere, unfortunately. We need the markets owner to clamp down on it. That's not to say Amazon haven't done it, too, though. I can't prove one way or the other.

OK, product in question: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vilros-Raspberry-Pi---Complete-Cable--WiFi/dp/B00T53135O/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1436962606&sr=1-2&keywords=raspberry+pi+2 On Amazon, they're claiming it was £129.99, now £49.99 On the site you linked, they list the highest price as £59.99: Vilros Raspberry Pi 2 -- Model B (1GB)--Complete Starter Kit--Includes--Clear Case--8GB Kingston Micros SD Card--HDMI Cable--WiFi adapter (B00T53135O) | Amazon price tracker / tracking, Amazon price history charts, Amazon price watches, Amazon price Is this even legal?
localzuk Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Picked up a couple of 32GB SDHC cards and a wifi extender. Convenient, as I was wanting to get some anyway.
