36 hours and still no sign of cached/queued e-mails and I am not sure that we are receiving all of our current incoming mail.

Does anyone have any idea as to how to escalate this past the ill-informed helpdesk?

If you have a phone number for someone in management.......

We're not seeing any signs of missing e-mails and it's worrying, especially when we're expecting highly confidential e-mails.

The numbers I have is 01782 338 200 and 0333 321 0350. Unfortunately it's straight to the helpdesk and usually first-line support.

Don't bother calling them unless you're willing to hold for a considerable time. Just been told my phone call won't be answered for at least 10 minutes and that I'm fourth in the queue.

Almost 30 minutes later I have been told that there's a huge backlog of e-mails waiting to go out. There isn't an ETA at the moment of when this will happen but it will be completed by this afternoon. :juggle: I remain pessimistic and await with bated breath.

We are now up to date and the queues are clear. There is a ton of mail that has has disappeared so don't hold your breath. I also found out today that they have added 3 new SMTP nodes recently. This may be unique to my setup but I restrict incoming SMTP traffic to only the openhive addresses. I had to add the 3 new addresses to my firewall rules to allow all of the queues to clear.

No IP records for their MX, looks like they are failing to sort a DNS issue.

Even worse, looks like they have broken more than mail, nameservers are having issues...

They really are struggling to get things right aren't they? Wouldn't trust them with anything important based on service of late.

Which is why we are/have moved most services from them as they are so poor.

website hosted on openhive has been down for a while - they confirmed it was a problem at their end.

We are moving to new internet providers in November.

We moved to Vidahost earlier this year and now pay a fraction of the cost Capita were charging. Should have moved years ago! Now the only thing left with Capita is email forwarding which will be moved to 365 when I get time.

Apparently, they are working with Cisco on this as equipment they had to replace simply isn't working as expected.

I read this as "we don't know what we are doing so need help"

It doesn't just not work, its either set up correctly or not... it won't help that inthehive domain is showing as crippled.

Ballsup from start to finish by the sounds of it. I'll field a phone call from any of my schools at any point to check on the status of something and the amount of calls I get about the bursar/head/senco emails is just laughable. Comes as no surprise to see so many schools being instructed by their academy chains to ditch any LEA related services in favour of vanilla Office 365 without anything else in the middle. It's not infallible but compared to Openhive, it's a class ahead.

So is this just affecting their web hosting and schools who use the Mail Marshall platform, or, are other products affected too? I wonder how many schools they still have on the Mail Marshall platform now.
