Arthur Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Ridley Scott's new movie. Edited June 8, 2015 by Arthur
sonofsanta Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Also an in-universe teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CumZP6_9sHU As Ars Technica point out, the journey to Mars is around 150 days in the story, and it's 170 to the launch of the film, so we may well get real-time progress on the "mission" in the build up to the film.
Patrick Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I like how his suit is like the one from interstellar.
Arreks Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I'm not sure I'd be able to stand a movie focused on just Matt Damon for so long..

sonofsanta Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Ah, he's not that bad. He's better than Ben Affleck, at least*, and he suits this role pretty well. *though: who isn't?
LeMarchand Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Ah, he's not that bad. He's better than Ben Affleck, at least*, and he suits this role pretty well. *though: who isn't? Hey! He was da bomb in "Phantoms". I don't think Affleck's that bad an actor, and his work as director on "Gone Baby Gone" was great.
6Foot2 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 XKCD: The Martian http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/the_martian.png Link: xkcd: The Martian Hover text: I have never seen a work of fiction so perfectly capture the out-of-nowhere shock of discovering that you've just bricked something important because you didn't pay enough attention to a loose wire.
chazzy2501 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Loved the audio book & will watch the movie but I'm expecting a different story. The trailer seemed to show the movie from beginning to end. (shuttle escape scene) I like that they've kept all the swearing.
Grey-gear Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I have heard the book is really good, so I hope the movie is too
