Joanne Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I'm the epitome of professional with my Godzilla t-shirt (in the style of a kids drawing) and my crocs (so cool).
vikpaw Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 The wiki articles are in order aren't they? I had neither long hair not a t-shirt at that conference IIRC. #googlegate proves we've still got a long way to go before we're given the respect they expect themselves. I dread to think where we'd be if EduGeek wasn't here.
vikpaw Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I'm the epitome of professional with my Godzilla t-shirt (in the style of a kids drawing) and my crocs (so cool). Scum I bet you have long hair too!
X-13 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I dread to think where we'd be if EduGeek wasn't here. Hard at work, probably...
Joanne Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Yeah it's pretty long.... I always thought it was the fact I was from Burnley that made me scum!
GrumbleDook Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 The wiki articles are in order aren't they? Not really ... the dates are correct but we are missing the entry for the Camden CLC one ... some of the materials were hosted on the old EG platform, some on EMBC flusters, some on RussDev's site ... all with the intention of combining at some point.
GrumbleDook Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Found it ... http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-edugeek-news-announcements/4171-edugeek-south-conference.html So, it was Corby, Rochdale, Camden, Corby, Chorley / Preston ad infinitum! (with the occasional workshop ... TaskIT, Microsoft, Becta, etc) 1
vikpaw Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Maybe in 10 years a Google HoA will handle 80,000 participants. Unfortunately our membership will no doubt be half a million by then.

(with the occasional workshop ... TaskIT, Microsoft, Becta, etc) Is this year's conference going to be in Preston again? Suits me. Just a quick jaunt up the A59. Oh, and @vikpaw, you wanted bacon cake? Pecan and maple - topped with crispy bacon! They were amazing! 1

Pecan and maple - topped with crispy bacon! They were amazing! It is planned that we shall be having the conf in October so as not to clash with exam/new budget season as well as not following at the end of a string of educational IT shows in the early part of the year. We are also looking at having it in a more accessable location with Manchester being the favorite atm as well as possibly increasing it to a two day format to allow for more hands-on sessions. 2
Dos_Box Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 We still do that now sit in a lobby looking dead and part ways, well some of us do some just find some local transport and go die in our own beds and avoid train trips, high speed taxi journeys that nearly make vomiting and yeh such good times and memory's Thanks all for making them amazing times over the last 10 years Not forgetting ensuring @ZeroHour gets to the airport ok
elsiegee40 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Not forgetting ensuring @ZeroHour gets to the airport ok Maaaaaaaalllllllllllk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3

vikpaw Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 But what a way to go! ;-) I'll see if I can arrange to get some for the 10th birthday celebrations in October. Great, why kill me when you can torture me instead, cos i won't be there.
Barcrest Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Happy Birthday. Apparently I signed up on 13th August 2007, I have been at the school much longer than that though. 3

Dos_Box Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Can we go back to calling it FFS! No, there was a very valid reason we renamed it!
