Hi,

We have a couple of Epson EB X20s in the school. A recurring problem is that the projectors seem to cut off the top half and part of the right hand side of the screen. It's not that often it happens (or at least I get told that it does) and if you turn the projector off ando n it works again..

I have no idea how it keeps happening, my troubleshooting has just begun! I can start testing hopefully around midday, so wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before? Maybe know what it could be?

thanks!

I get this on one particular model of Epson, the eb-x02... No idea why it happens, but it seems to happen more often with Macs.

Switching to another input and then back to computer seems to fix it for us.

I'd say it was something to do with the resolution or refresh rate that the projector doesn't like, have you tried adjusting the resolution and refresh to one suggested in the projector user manual?

Have you tried setting the aspect ratio and another setting which i forget but we had a problem with our first EB-X20 and thought what the hell have we bought

We see this with what I expect are cheap VGA splitters. Leave the projector on unplug the splitter, plug it back in and it sorts itself out.

Seems to happen on all our epson projectors here, I just tell staff to push source search on the remote and it cures it without me having to visit.

Another bug that requires me visiting though is when they decide to chop about 6 inches on the side edges of the board, that requires a projector reset and is fairly low in occurring
