What snacks do you eat at work? Just started and finished a space invaders 10 pack.

Fruit and willpower! And never keep sweets and chocolate in the office "to last the week" as it won't last until the next period bell.

I've got a bag of doritos next to me right now. It'll do the job for now.

Also got cup of soups in the cupboard above, although it will soon be too warm for them.

I try not to snack at all. Drinking lots of water through the day. Peppermint tea helps to restrict the cravings for food too. I have an apple about 4.30pm which deals with the munchies before dinner time.

I have been needing to sort this out, I have a tendency to eat junk at work and its no good at all for me, water intake isnt bad though on the whole as I am getting through at least 2 litres a day here , graze doesnt look bad and I have been picking up a fair bit of the whole foods lately, fruit mixes aren't bad at all and I tend to smash a bowl of muesli in each morning here before work, its staving off the hunger monster pre-lunch thats a problem.

At the end of the day, there is no substitute for will-power. You need to educate your stomach not to expect food to be constantly available. Not having anything available to eat between meals in the first place is the best method... and not not allowing yourself to go roaming in search of food when you are feeling bored/angry.

Fruit and nuts may be healthier than chocolate, but they are still quite high in calories and so have their own problems.

If someone could only package willpower into a nutty chocolate bar I'd be first in line.

Its more habit with me - if I'm taken out of my natural surroundings I eat a lot less and hardly ever snack

Depends on your lifestyle though too, myself and a few others on this board are very active and I need to fuel my body throughout the day to maintain muscle mass and weight. I find eating regularly stops me from going out eating those huge very-bad-for-you meals.

None for me, but I eat six times/day anyway. Reasonably disciplined and largely detached food from reward; there's stuff I'd 'like' but nothing I really and seriously crave. Also really benefiting from my calorie controlled weight loss thing I'm doing so that's nice and motivating.

Promised the gf that we'd have a Chinese when I get down to 88kg though. Dat chilli squid... :)

Pom-bears

I'm a big fan of Pom-bears as well. Honestly though I'd probably eat anything and everything ;)

We have a sink in the office as well so I should fill up on water like a lot of other people seem to be doing!

Most days I try and bring things that won't get demolished in the first 2 minutes. Today I have a pack of Trebor XXX Spearmint mints. They are way too strong to eat one after another, so they'll last the day and keep my breath feeling fresh too!

We're a "Healthy Eating" school so we have fruit freely available to us, problem is with 120+ staff members odds are good that a couple of times a week it's someone's birthday and the staffroom is filled with cakes! :p

I try not to snack at work. I say 'try'. I just don't buy snacks. Since I'm trying to lose weight, I find it's easier to just not have food available.

At home is a different problem. I'm known for being a bit of a fatty. Biscuits with my brew, a packet of crisps, a random sandwich, etc. So I'm trying to cut all that out :) Got a can of soup with me today for lunch, should do me alright.

I keep being given biscuits. So I have a few biscuits when I'm drinking my herbal tea. That's about it until I get home and eat everything under the sun.
