Garacesh Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) Not to mention the unspoken rule when it was down to 1v1, one of you would fire your pistol into the air and you'd meet up and pistol whip each other to see which side won... I hate to think now how much money we spent on running the servers for games like MOH (both AA and SH), BF1942, RavenShield each year as Jolt used to charge around £160 a month for their top end kit.. but the fun we had. My clan used to have paid subs, they weren't mandatory, but most of us paid. All subs funds went to the dedibox. If we ended up with too much cash it went towards an upgrade. Ah yes, pistol whip fights.. Throw down your primary, waste your pistol ammo and run around whipping relentlessly. Friendly Fire enabled. 3 hits and you're dead. Mad scrabble for the health pack of the fallen comrade (or enemy). That was how we decided who got to pick which team had which side first in games. Pointless, really, when you consider each team played on both sides.. But ah well. More on-topic, I find my worst gaming performances to be nightly now... damn League of Legends. . You're damn right insert DOTA overlord comment here xD Edited April 24, 2015 by Garacesh
LiamH Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Recently tried getting back into a fps game, used to be a pretty good player and was getting slaughtered in battlefield to my annoyance, and hour or so later I got my edge back and was being accused of being a "hacker" always a good feeling. Starting raids in wow in my dps spec as a healer, always fun. Especially since one of our tanks often makes the same mistake. Many small facepalm moments in EVE, although have been in fleets where we had to kill a friendly player because he accidentally bubbled our own fleet ect.
synaesthesia Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I did well last night. GTAV, first heist mission in the story mode. Perched myself up on the airduct to throw in a nade, and promptly fell off & died.
Sunnyknight Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Minesweeper... Blown up on first click This. So this.....
crc-ict Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Going waay back, but Ghostbusters 2 on the Atari ST. There was a bit where you were going up a shaft of some kind on a rope, and a ghost hand came along and starting 'sawing' at the rope. Had to use some sort of weapon that fired something up in the air and then exploded when you let go of the fire button at the right moment. I just couldn't do that at all. Was the start of level 2 or something pathetic like that. I was only about 9 or 10 at the time though! Never really got any better at games.
sted Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 replaying halo either i suck more than i remember or mcc is harder also how are you supposed to get the par time in any level its usually 15 mins most levels take mo over an hour (and i seem to have no memory of halo 2 at all)

Jeez, blast from the past...
rich_tech Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Died at pull a few times in wow which is always fun when your tanking Speaking of FPS games, for some reason I cannot fathom now, with FPS games I no longer need to invert mouse, which I did for about 10 years
Domo Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 anytime i touch a flying vehicle in battlefield games. i cannot for the life of me work those things out... I also challenge anyone who has never played counter-strike before not to be terrible in their first couple of games xD
3s-gtech Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I've been playing CS since 2001 and I'm still terrible. Still love it. Probably spent more time mapping than actually playing it (and I've played it a lot).
JRowley Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Recent one, jumping out of a helicopter as the pilot in GTA V only to be immediately killed by the rotor blades of said helicopter because my character decided to jump up out of the pilot seat rather than falling out of it and the helicopter had started to fall as soon as I jumped.
GreyMalkin Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 anytime i touch a flying vehicle in battlefield games. i cannot for the life of me work those things out... I also challenge anyone who has never played counter-strike before not to be terrible in their first couple of games xD Those first games where you will rush mid on de_dust2....hell you'll just run everywhere, plus crouching and spraying and praying EVERY time. xD The most recent screw up I did was actually in CS:GO, I was playing on cs_assault in office watching the vents. I killed someone trying to enter office and I drop my SMG in order to pick up their M4...but it inadvertently fell off the side of the platform. I also double tapped the drop weapon button by accident so I dropped my SMG and pistol down over the side as well! At this point, a CT drops down the vent to find a very confused me wielding only a knife....very embarrasing. It was a competitive match as well.
3s-gtech Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Thankfully they didn't make the knife dropable, though fist fights would be epic. This is where binding a key to 'suicide' would be appropriate.
Poults Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Tried my hand at some sniping last night on BF4, got a kill straight away and thought this isn't too bad, ended the game 2 for 27. I'll stick to assault rifles from now on I think.
Domo Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 One i just remembered was when i got my new mouse (logitech G600) which has tonnes of side buttons on it, my previous mouse didn't have side buttons... queue video of me accidentaly throwing medic bags at enemies who i'm trying to spray down on BF4... (the buttons on the mouse defaulted through all the numbers, so accidentally pressing them ended up in death)
GreyMalkin Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Thankfully they didn't make the knife dropable, though fist fights would be epic. This is where binding a key to 'suicide' would be appropriate. If they made the knife droppable I think this would of been my genuine reaction to the situation.
JLambert97 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 When I played WoW back in the day I was the main tank in a raid. Cant remember what the boss was killed basically I died 1st hit by standing in the wrong spot. Did the obvious thing afterwards. Blamed the healers It's always the healers fault
DMcGuigan Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Had a few good ones last night, I don't think @CAM was there, but the rest of the group was.. trying to take out a clump of cars to let the ground team move in the first Humane Labs heist setup and hitting my own cover with a rocket. Same job, trying to climb down a ladder and accidentally jumped off of the side of the building, parachute opened just as I hit the floor. I shouldn't heist at midnight, bad things happen lol
Garacesh Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Randomed Imba Ember Spirit in DOTA 2 last night. Never played that hero before. It did not go well. Amusingly, the previous game I randomed Earth Spirit.. I think I was getting the hang of him by the end of the game!
Arreks Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 My first time playing Kerbal Space Program, say no more.
Garacesh Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 My first time playing Kerbal Space Program ICBM Simulator, say no more. Sorted that one for you
Pete10141748 Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Super Mario Bros. for the Gameboy. Level 1. Run to the right, miss-time the jump, get killed by the Goomba 2 seconds into the level. Depressing to hear the "Death" music for longer than you heard the level music
