This problem with the iceberg houses is that they take around a year per basement level to excavate and build and causes lots of hassle for the street due to the number of grab trucks/workers and possible damage to other properties.

 

There was an interesting program on BBC the other week regarding it and it's still on iPlayer if you want to loose an hour during the day.....

I would paint horizontal stripes and when I was told to remove those, go the orange route as suggested by pooley, although I would chose purple.

I think it was more the neighbours logging complaints and issues with the planning than the councils response. She may even have gotten the go ahead if the neighbours had no issues. So she's doing it to annoy the neighbours than protesting against the council, who obviously got the decision right if the neighbours had raised issues with them.

Hmm… I could see the neighbours using this to vent their anger/mirth on their walls… invisible graffiti anyone? Only pops up when vehicle lights in the direction
