OMG when did McDonalds suddenly get self service ordering touch screens?

 

They are far too easy to order far too much food on as there isn't any pressure stood at the checkout trying to study the menu!

Saw one pop up recently at a newish McDonalds, not used it as didn't see it first but the place is more like Argos, order your food and wait for your number to be called.

They've been doing this a lot recently, renovating stores and making it more modern.

 

I quite like the idea, it cuts down on the queues and it means I don't actually need to speak to anyone.

Ours in Bedford have had them for quite a while now. They have iPads on some of the tables as well to keep the kids (old and young) amused.

The first McDonalds in the UK (Woolwich) has had them for a while They are also common in Europe
