richardg7vyi Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 One of our faculties has the above printer that intermittently reports a F24B power off/on error . This error has occurred on a couple of occasions and circumstances last time led me to believe it was a problem with a particular document but have also seen comments that it could be a memory error on the printer. Has anyone else encountered this error and found a cause?
Chris_ Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 We've had this on a slightly different model Kyocera printer a few times. Apparently it's down to the printer running out of memory, a memory upgrade should sort it..
themightymrp Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 We have a bunch of this model of printer but haven't ever come across this error. What amount of RAM does yours have? All ours came with 256Mb
richardg7vyi Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Our is 256Mb too. Have reset it and printed out PDFs word docs and pictures seems ok again at the moment.

Danp Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Ours gets service errors randomly, turn them off and back on again and it's sorted! I have found restarting them via the web interface about once a week helps with the general running of them as well.
