For those clever enough to wonder: the reason you can't see the camera arm is because the image is a composite of multiple snaps, and the arm moves to take each photo; when NASA stitched it together, they patched the arm out, clever sorts that they are. (and yes, the headline was deliberately clickbaity, for those lols I hear so much about)
Andrew_C Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I loaded up the hi-res, and was scanning about. As the top of the rover flashed across the screen, I saw what I took to be the reflection of the photographer. Having done a double take and "wut the...!" I can now see what it is.

Yeah, that rear-left tyre (the right-most one in the picture) has got quite a few holes punched through it. Personally I think it's more Johnny Five than Dalek:

ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Cannot deny that the rover itself looks like Mr Johnny Five! However the reflection in the main lens clearly looks like a Dalek is taking the snap.
