burnsyb0y Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Just wondering what you guys play on your lunch break if anything? I am currently ploughing through pokemon emerald on GBA-M with a xbox 360 controller. I get some funny looks but who cares its fun!
DalekSec Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 what's a lunch break?, is that a rest you get in the middle of the day? I would be so lucky
X-13 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Just wondering what you guys play on your lunch break if anything? I am currently ploughing through pokemon emerald on GBA-M with a xbox 360 controller. I get some funny looks but who cares its fun! Super Mario 3d Land at the moment. Aiming for 100%. Everything else I'm playing isn't suited for break time sessions. [bravely Default, MM3D]
LosOjos Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) I tend to be playing whichever indie title was released free on Vita each month (with PS+), so at the moment I'm playing Rogue Legacy what's a lunch break?, is that a rest you get in the middle of the day? I would be so lucky I rarely took a lunch break in the first 5 years I was here, but in the past 12 months I've started forcing myself to. So, at some point between 12/2, I'll take at least 30 minutes (an hour if I'm in early enough in the morning), phone off the hook and door locked. I'll either play my Vita or read whatever book/comic I'm currently on, have my lunch, play a bit of music, then back to work. I've found my stress levels have been greatly decreased and I have the focus back for the afternoon to be able to work more efficiently and without getting so angry about all the 'little things' - seriously, you should take a break. Working through is false economy. Edited February 23, 2015 by LosOjos
burnsyb0y Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Good luck with 100% on mario, you have more patience that I! Had no clue there was a mini dayz... Must have. And i have been thinking of getting a vita lately but not sure if it would be worth it for me as i have put so much money into my PC and dont go out much haha.
Quackers Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Mini Metro (its like a London Underground simulator) , steam says i've played it for 90 hours now, i think I'm addicted.

Working through is false economy. I really should start doing this. I tend to eat my lunch while working which isn't great and I know is false economy. I', a bit worried doing what you do, RE: locking your door! I'm worried someone will think I'm doing something dodgy etc.... Don't know why My laptop at work will enable me to play the likes of 7DTD, Rust etc... Though I obviously can't play these without my door being locked. Though our county filter blocks steam, so don't have a choice there either. Just tend to sit on EduGeek for 15 minutes and get back onto work, even though I should have an hour a day.
Garacesh Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) Super Mario 3d Land at the moment. Aiming for 100% I should probably bring my 3DS into work and keep at that.. I've completed it and gotten Luigi. I also need to buy more 3DS games. Any recommendations? I really should start doing this. I tend to eat my lunch while working which isn't great. Hah, I do the same, probably shouldn't, but T&L doesn't wait for me to finish my lunch, so if someone comes in and says "$Thing isn't working" I tend to just get up, go and fix it, and get back to my sandwiches once it's done. I don't really do much, browse EduGeek (which I semi-passively do throughout the day anyway), BBC News, The Register.. I should check if Steam is blocked.. but it may not bode well for my productivity if it isn't.. So best not 'eh? (I'd totally be happy playing half an hour of Hand of Fate on my lunch) Edited February 23, 2015 by Garacesh
korifugi Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Currently - Final Fantasy X on the Vita, although some staff seem to think I'm playing Hide & Seek.

ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 As has been well documented on here we play Locatestreet (Locatestreet: the random location game) in the office most lunchtimes. However I also enjoy this: Mini Metro It's addictive and rather challenging Though our county filter blocks steam, so don't have a choice there either. Just disconnect and run steam in offline mode?

So that's 5 hours a week that you're giving them as unpaid work. That's 260 hours a year, nearly two months that you're working for nothing!!! You're legally entitled to a break, if they say it's a n hour then take it.
localzuk Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I play "walking into town to get food, and walking back".
DalekSec Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 We do get free hot school meals ( which are great ) so we have that for about 20mins but then back to office as the pupils often come in at lunch for help
LosOjos Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I play "walking into town to get food, and walking back". What are the graphics like?
DalekSec Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 What are the graphics like? Graphics are amazing, storyline is dull, still better than destinys storyline
featured_spectre Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Graphics are immense, but some NPCs are repetitive. Also levelling takes a long time, and you can't farm gold that easily either

Though you can sometimes bypass that by using medics.
localzuk Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 What are the graphics like? Slightly blurry at the moment.
Tesla Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I was playing Football Manager on my tablet before half term.... bored of that now though, so got nothing going on at breaks atm.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Wasn't that a car? Knew I'd seen the name somewhere before Seriously though it's pretty addictive!
