Matty94 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Does anyone host there own ticketing system? If you do, which ticketing system do you use? Looking into installing osTicket on a test environment to trial, either on a internal server or on a web hosting server. If anyone uses osTicket, how have you got it set up? Thanks, Matt94
MrFrostmaul Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 We are using Spiceworks and have installed on one of our servers. Very good system, easy to setup and have had no problems with it (been using for a year now) + It syncs with AD so auto logins for them. +1 for Spiceworks.

Its a shame it can't handle multiple departments. Apart from thats its great.
lholland421 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 We run osticket. Great ticket system! We have IT SUPPORT and SITE STAFF setup as different departments. Staff find it really easy as it's just an email to submit a ticket. Easy to setup http://osticket.com
bladedanny Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Another osticket user here. I love it. Myself, the buildings supervisor and the office staff use it for jobs and stock requests. We have it hosted on an internal server and staff can either use the web form or just email itsupport@ to raise a ticket. I've also wrote a little php page that lists how many tickets are open for each department to go on our xibo display in our office.
Geoff Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 We are using Request Tracker. https://www.bestpractical.com/rt/ I have an ubuntu LTS vm on our VMware ESXi running it.
