VeryPC Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Hi Everyone. I wanted to let you all know that from Friday 6th February 2015 VeryPC are implementing a phone menu system for inbound calls to help you get through to the department you want to speak to more quickly. Don't worry, we're still committed to answering every call into the office in 3 rings or less, but now you'll be connecting to the correct department first time. It's going to make things faster for you and save time for us here in the office too, so we can get back to working on your orders and enquires. Now, we realise that not everyone is a fan of phone menus, so we've designed ours to be as simple as possible (single level, 4 options) and for those of you that don't want to listen to the options, here they are in advance so that you can select the relevant department as soon as you connect: 1 - sales and product enquiries 2 - support and warranty 3 - accounts and purchasing 4 - marketing and creative Remember the menu will be implemented on Friday 6th February - before then just do it the old fashioned way. Click the image below to download a little crib sheet that you can print out and keep by your phone to remind you of the options and always be connected as quickly as possible - look forward to hearing from you soon!: That link to crib sheet: http://vpc.link/phone Please let us know what you think of the system by posting here after you've had a chance to use it a few times. Thanks everyone. Al, head of marketing, VeryPC Edited February 4, 2015 by VeryPC Added 0114 number 2
X-13 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) You forgot "5 = Colin and a 3 hour chat about nothing... oh wait I wanted to buy something" I suppose the next thing you need to do is stop using an 0845 number... that's not incuded in my minutes on my work phone Edited February 4, 2015 by X-13 3
sparkeh Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 You forgot "5 = Colin and a 3 hour chat about nothing... oh wait I wanted to buy something" That's why I email... ...and end up in a 3 hour email exchange...hmm 3
VeryPC Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) I suppose the next thing you need to do is stop using an 0845 number... that's not included in my minutes on my work phone Our "normal" number is 0114 321 8609 which connects you to the same line. We kept it for this very reason - you can use this in future if you want. I've updated the crib sheet to include this. Al Edited February 4, 2015 by VeryPC 3

VeryPC Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Tiny competition! We have just 3 pairs of our VeryPC "Rulers of I.T." socks left (small, but stretchy). First 3 people to call up after 10am on Friday 6th February, select option 4 and say "Bring me the socks!" to either me or Will when we answer the phone will get a pair. 0845 0345 017 or 0114 321 8609 then option 4, marketing and creative. (made it 10am just to make sure the new system will be switched on - you have to use the menu - transferred calls or anything before 10am will not count!) We'll announce as soon as the 3 pairs are gone (probably at about 10am and 30 seconds!) Al
VeryPC Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Hey folks - quick heads up. Come 10 o'clock, Will and I will be taking your "bring me the socks!" calls. We need to keep the VeryPC phone lines clear for other stuff, so once we have your username we'll be saying "K thanx bye!". Also - as soon as the 3 pairs are given away I'll post here "STOP CALLING!" so you all know to stop trying. Anyway, good luck, speak to you in a few minutes and remember it's option 4 for me and Will. Cheers, Al 1
hallb15 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) I've just dialled the number so its ready to redial at 10 on the dot. Good luck everyone.... Euk - what a horrible generated voice! Edited February 6, 2015 by hallb15 1
hallb15 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Yes, yes, yes! Get in there! I just won a pair of socks for my new apprentice, Josh! I wonder what other mini-competitions I can start and win myself today? 1
VeryPC Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Congratulations to @mac_shinobi @hallb15 and @StevieM You won our pairs of socks - we'll pop em in envelopes and send em out! Thanks for taking part and commiserations to everyone who missed out. Al
