Advice on Small Form Factor PC

Hi, does anyone have these and could provide feedback on how they are?, were looking to purchase a large amount of PC`s and these are one of the options

Depending on amount, we recently brought some refurb dells on a good deal, came with Samsung ssd's which is a bonus, worth a look Refurbished Desktop PC's & TFT LCD Monitor Computer Screens - Misco.co.uk

We've had some Lenovos, they have been pretty rock solid and their support is ok. The only thing I would say is replace the 500Gb HDD with an SSD, it makes a tremendous difference. If you're buying in quantity then Lenovo will do a custom build for you. I'd also say for us Lenovo haven't been competitive with other manufacturers bids over the last few years, but it does depend what their priorities are at the time when they bid.

we have 15 of the SFF (as well as some of the USFF), been in for 6 months with no problems. I just added Samsung 840 evo's after. They are then really snappy.

 

The only complaint is the awful bundle mice!

Hi, We use the Dell Optiplex 3020 Small form factor, can get them in i3, i5 or i7 with 4GB-8GB RAM. Typically we go for the i5 with 4GB and they have been great for us so far. Approx £350.

thanks for the reply's, I have asked for a quote with SSD`s - would you say 4gb is ok (with SSD`s) ?? for the RAM

Also, 250gb SSD size should be ok shouldn't it?

Stone SFF's here. Some with normal disks and some with Samsung SSDs. Very happy with them. Great support from stone aswell.

I have a 120GB SSD in the computer that I'm using at the mo. I've used about half of the capacity and it has all of the tools I need for my day to day work. Of course, your mileage may vary.

depends on what you use. I also have a 120GB SSD with a 1TB Disk. Works well.

We've been buying the Dells with 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD and they are fine - we aren't installing dozens of apps on them and students store everything in their home folders. Money is a bit tight so we went for the SSD over an i5 processor. Seems to be good so far
