XiJ Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Me too! I think mine had a slightly faulty blade motor. Then my ham-fistedness broke a wire. Then my frustration and anger broke the 2nd wire (like a petulant child). My father in law is going to 'fix the whole problem for me' My 3 and 4 year old did go through Christmas without any tantrums though!!
eyetea Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 When I first got my little quad, I went to a nice big open (and empty!!!) field and took it slowly until I was reasonably competent (By that mean I know I could put it down again even if it wasn't a pretty landing!) When I got it out of the box obviously I read the manual thoroughly and then wondered why it was travelling to one side... I didn't realise I hadn't put it on a flat surface to begin with!

Maybe someday the wife will let me get one...!
kearton Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Got a Hubsan X4 107D last week. Still practicing indoors. Had a little accident in the office this morning though... crashed and it landed in a sink full of hot soapy water. Completely submerged for about 10-15 seconds. Thankfully after drying it all out it's still working fine (phew!)
plexer Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 My original Hubsan X4 just stopped flying, I changed all the motors hoping it was that but that didn't help, I had bought extra props and batteries for it. Got a Q4 nano just before xmas and have just received a replacement mainboard I ordered for the X4 so will try and get it installed tonight. Ben
KrakowKaz Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I've been browsing Amazon for these things after seeing someone make a foam body of the Millenium Falcon for a quadcopter... Though i imagine it'll just sit and gather dust like my rc helicopter after an hour of play.
