burnsyb0y Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I personally love my Yamaha bikes. I had a YBR as a commuter and it was way comfier and more reliable than my mates CBF. And with the sport style bikes the YZFf is bigger and faster than the CBR. The Yamahas are only slightly better than hondas in my opinion though, wont make much difference regardless of what you get if you are commuting.

If you've got enough cash, I have a mate who might well be selling a full carbon santa-cruz tallboy 29er that's only been used about half a dozen times.
arwen Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 So I passed my CBT on sunday, was loads of fun, really enjoyed it The local Honda dealer phoned me back on Monday about getting a white or yellow MSX125... up to a 3 month wait for one so I'm now on the hunt for any that are close by :-/ Really looking forward to getting my own two wheels!

How much is he after? Cause I am looking for a new bike, possibly picking one up in the half term holiday! My bike doesn't look like that picture any more. It's got no handbar grips, no gear shifters and no derailiers at all! Absolute nightmare

Don't look down unless you feel like having a wee lie down ;-) Keep your upper body relaxed and don't death grip the bars. You don't actually have to hold on, more like just keeping your hands resting on the bars. Otherwise you end up "fighting" with the bike when you try to turn, or veer off to the side when you want to go straight. Using your hips to turn the bike when you want to turn also works wonders. It helps a lot if you already drive and know how a clutch works. I think he paid nearly 5k for it less than 6 months ago, but now he has a house, and less available funds! I shall ask and see what he says.

Thanks through [emoji108] I have spotted quite a nice carerra for half my budget which I'm keeping a close eye on. Or maybe even a Saracen MTB.

diddylord Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Had to Honda years and used to commuter daily on it plus touring, Street triple is a weekend toy and the tiger I've just bought to take over from the Honda as now going further and ridding two up a bit as well. Enjoy that little Honda.
