ayres_rock Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hi all. Looking for people's recommendation (and one's to avoid as well) on AV companies for installing IWB's and Interactive Touchscreen's. Got some projects coming up which require a number of installs of both and would welcome advice from others, particularly on the installation of the equipment in to the classrooms and who does a good job and who have been left feeling could have been better.
hallb15 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I used to install smartboards for a previous company. I do ours in school now - its not that hard to do, especially with newer projectors that have good brackets and mounts. I'm not busy over Christmas as school is completely shut for 2 weeks if you want some help!! VeryPC are now SMART authorised suppliers you could start by contacting Ross @VeryPC and take it from there...
danelliott87 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Cdec are pretty good. Used them for years!
john Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Not sure how far North you are by North but i'd certainly recommend Audioworks - Audioworks - Audio and Audio Visual - PA Systems - Induction Loop Systems - Installation - Lancaster as excellent AV installers
ayres_rock Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 Thank you all so far for the responses. North pretty much covers anything up from just north of Birmingham so 15 installed in one location may read then to other work in other areas with more installed or less.
timbo343 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Have a word with KPMS Audio Visual Installation | Digital Signage | Audio Visual Company | Smart board, they are very reliable and have used them in the past.
sonofsanta Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 +1 for KPMS, up Yorkshire way - fantastic bunch of lads, always been astonished by the level of their work. Never even bother going anywhere else for quotes on AV now.
Chris_ Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I've used JPSL Technical Services for a few installs. Some smaller ones (classroom projectors) and some bigger ones (assembly hall AV systems). Their work has always been good and they give good advice on the equipment.
