PC Rename, PC check for usage

HI,

 

i wonder if someone could help...

 

one of my colleagues renamed a alot of PCs around the school - but kept the existing names in AD. just trying to do a tidy up does anyone no the best way to do this?

 

or is there a way to find out if a PC has been used in the last 6 months? (im sure ive done this before but forgot how to) i know there is a way to do it with users aswell?

This will do what you need, both Users and Computers: Cjwdev | AD Info - Active Directory Reporting Tool

 

But renaming a PC locally should update the AD record for that machine.

I have found it very useful for old pcs and old users good reporting features for security groups and things

 

after 30 days it reverts to the free edition (limits the number of search results)
