Corero Resource 3200

Hello Everyone,

 

Right I am getting stressed out with a problem I am having with the finance Software. We use a database from Corero called, Live, Schoolfund and Train. If anyone else uses these then please HELP !!!!

 

I Have set the databases up using the ODBC Connections. The problem is it wont print at all. the data is all there for the school finances ETC but nothing wont print. It says "The System cannot find the path specified.

Obvious thing, does the PC have any printers installed?

 

I have just installed Resource on the BM's new machine and didn't have to set anything special with regards to the printers. It just picked the currently installed printer up

Did you copy the IQ folder to the root of the client PCs C drive? This folder is needed for printing and must be accessible to the user.

Only just read your message. I Managed to do it two hours later when I finally remembered that the IQ Folder from the client folder needed to be in the root of the C Drive. Took me a while to figure it out lol but then again im only 19 working as a technician in a school, Still leaning the ropes.

@apearson @JJames - Hi Guys, I had a phone call regarding this issue from our HR/Finance team today, I have no history with Corero with it being set up by an ex-colleague, could you let me know what I need to do in order to get the staff printing from corero to networked printers.

I would contact Corerro (now Civica) support, they are actually really helpful most of the time.

Another +1 for their support... They've always been excellent.

 

As far as printing goes, the above advice for IQ objects needs to be followed.

 

The other thing is that someone needs to check in the background what location the software is expecting the IQ Objects to be in.

 

It is possible for Corero to be mapped to use alternative locations by corero themselves. I had mine mapped to C:\program files\corero\IQObjects as software restriction policies prevented it from running from anywhere else.

I will do this, just didn't want it to be something simple that I could have sorted; I will watch/listen carefully how they do it so I know in future

Hi, Sorry, just seen the updates to this thread. For me, Once the IQ folder was copied to the root of the C drive, and suitable read/write permissions given, users were able to print. We have an RM network so users wouldn't normally have read/write access to a folder in that location but it may be different for you. I was not aware that the location of the IQ folder could be changed. If I havd know, I would have changed it!

Corero made a massive fuss about the fact it couldn't be changed - but after we made it clear that they had to move it to be in line with our policies or the purchase was off they moved it. It was just a setting in the system available to the superuser!
