  1. Howdy! I thought I would reach out to the Gods before contacting Microsoft for support Configured and setup a user driven Microsoft Entra Hybrid Joined autopilot profile. The devices seems to enroll using the new ODJ connector setup find and the domain join configuration profile has applied. However... Some policies don't seem to be applying but they have worked on past setups so I am wondering if something has changed. i.e LAPS configuration profile has been assigned to all devices and says successful but not showing any password under the device in Intune. In my WindowsGeneral config it has applied most things but not the desktop \ lock screen. Bitlocker config profile says it has applied but on the machine it wants me to turn Bitlocker on? As mentioned I have used the exact same policies at another site on a different Microsoft tenant and it has worked perfect.
  2. Well they definitely want a laptop and I just told them expect prices to be closer to £2000 for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Anyone got any suggestions on a good laptop for this.
  3. If they decide they would like a desktop I know your the man to come to
  4. Thanks Dave I will go back and explain that to them. I did suggest a desktop in the first place but nope. It's possible to get a laptop with dedicated graphics however with there budget that won't happen.
  5. Hi Dave, This link explains all the requirements. Customer has said go above and beyond to ensure its a good machine but I'm finding it hard for laptops in there price range. https://blog.trimech.com/solidworks-requirements-and-recommendations-2016
  6. Advice needed! I have a friend that wants to buy a laptop specifically to use with Solidworks CAD. It's an old program from like 2015. What laptops would be good enough to get him started? Budget is around £600 - £800.
  7. I have managed to get hold of some drivers that make the touchscreen work. Fixed about 15 of them so far ad not had any issues.
  8. Yeah they are all setup as one system. Setup completed with the Unify Controller and setup on the same network. I believe the First Floor and Second Floor are fine with these new ones. I think the Main problem is wireless connection keeps dropping. This is happening from the Main BT Hub in the office.
  9. Hi, Yes I ran a cable from the Main Office (Hub Location) up to the third floor loft space and Installed a Network Cab with a POE Switch in. the 3 Wireless access Points I have installed are all running from the POE Switch. - - - Updated - - - Problem is they have no other option that BT due to the location of the house.
  10. Hi All, Warning - Long Post I have a customer who lives in a village with average internet speeds of about 60Mbps. They run a business from the house and need a decent connection. There ISP is BT and they have had the same problem for a few years and I would like to try and help them without getting them to spend loads of money in case it doesn't work. They seem to drop wireless connection throughout property every so often. (This is a big house which has 3 Floors). Before I started doing work with them they have some Wireless Extenders in the house - Speed test of these shown about 6Mbps. I have replaced all these with a Unify system and they are now getting about 60Mpbs on the Second and Third Floor. (Great). They don't want to spend any more money on access points until we can stop the connection dropping. On the ground floor they still need some access points but I have to wait but they have just received a new BT Hub with Wi-Fi disks. Set these up and again speeds seems ok. The customer keeps running speed tests and one minute its 60 the next it down to 0.5 or less. I have seen this happen and couldn't browse to google until the speeds picked back up a few moments later. BT are unable to help them because everything on the Hub seems find and ethernet connections don't drop. Has anyone seen anything like this before.
  11. Thanks all for your suggestions however none of them have worked. Contacted Microsoft who bent the rules and they sent 2 hours looking even though the server is Windows Server 2012 R2 which is EOL? They didn't manage to solve it until there manager came over and told them to stop lol We have now upgraded the FS to Windows 2016 and seems the issue is still occurring.
  12. Morning Steve, I have just tried restarting NLA however nothing happened.
  13. Hi Yes the NIC Card's are teamed. We have tired to disconnect/ disable the NIC Card on the affected VM however this hasn't made a difference. We have also deleted the adapter for all virtual machines and re created a brand new one but this one VM is still having problems.
  14. Hi Guys, Got a small problem which we can't seem to figure out. Host Server - Connected and working as expected DC - Virtual Machine - Connected and working as expected FS - Network Adapter says "Unidentified Network" The FS was working completely fine last week & then we installed the Print Nightmare updates and since then the VM has now been working. We can't ping the server and we can't ping out from the VM. We originally thought updates killed it so removed those but same issue. Restore from the last known working backup and still same problem. Created a new external V Ethernet adapter and this still hasn't solve the problem. Like I have mentioned the DC is using the same adapter and is working fine. Any help greatly apprenticed.
  15. Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am not 100% whether it is a block or not but as I am being told when the app opens its a white background loading. This leads me to believe it's being blocked for the students. The schools current setup for students is everything is blocked unless we are told to unblock something. This is a primary school and I am only on site for a few hours every 2 weeks so trying to sort something out before my next visit.
