CHR1S Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 Haha yes I was but I worded it all cheeky like. Exactly, live comfortably in Birmingham or poor in London...... no brainer
sted Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 get a house with large garages built. Buy a brand new mustang, an old fastback mustang an r34 skyline, a sierra rs500 and a few other cars ive always wanted. Buy a beetle and a microbus and pay to watch them being crushed (i really hate those cars) probably keep working if only part time as i doubt its enough to retire on
mrbios Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Not long ago there was an AMA on reddit by someone who won £1 million, it wasn't enough to mean he could never work again but it was quite interesting to hear about the ways in which it changed him. I think i would give away £100-200k to family, about £300k would buy a nice big house out right, the other £500k would go into buying cheap properties or auctioned properties to do up and let out for some steady income.
Grey-gear Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Pay off my uni loan then go on holiday to Canada then buy a better house.

HarryMonkey Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 The housing market is just shocking! My current house is a 4 bed semi in one of the best areas around here and as a cash buyer I got in way under £200k. I might move to Scotland, I could buy a castle for 50p and a curly wurly! I lived in Surrey some time ago (early 70s). I went back there last weekend, the house I lived in ... 3 bed semi, has an estimated value of £316,000 !! 1

DCUK6 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Quit work today. From tomorrow, sit in my boxers with the PS3 and projector on eating rubbish earning 40K a year interest (if google is correct about the interest). I would use the 15k a year in unused interest to purchase new thing meaning the interest woud never go down. Then at the age of 60-70 I would donate 200k and go on a massive spending spree to enjoy the last few years of a reduced life from too much ps3 and food. Edited October 10, 2014 by DCUK6 2
Joanne Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Exactly, live comfortably in Birmingham or poor in London...... no brainer Or like a king in East Lancashire!

Joanne Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 My school is in a very deprived area... but you still get views like this... Just taken that 5 minutes ago. I love living here. If I moved I'd miss the hills! That's Pendle Hill in the background btw. WITCHES!
