So much hate for Vista always worked for me but also saw it not working on other machines that should run it

The kicker was the old Intel 915 debacle where real cheapo Pcs were 'certified' to run Vista despite not being able to run Aero glass. 915 was awful anyway, but I guess Intel had a stockpile to go. 945 that was available at the time was more than capable of that job, but customers got stiffed when they bought a 'new' PC.

 

Vista itself was fine IME, when given some power to run.

 

Better than 98-->ME!
