A3 printer and scanner

To cut a long story short, I have been asked to source an A3 scanner and A3 printer for the ARTS department. They are using IMacs (OSX 10.9.4) We have in school a HP colour laserjet CP5220 for A3 printing and it’s been great. Just wondering if anyone had any more recommendations or horror stories what to avoid? Cheers.

Sharp MFD? One machines does all and if you get one with PostScript which all newer models are you are sorted.

We run the CP5220 here in our art dept too. Our only complaint is the price of the consumables.

 

My recommendation would be to look at leasing an A3 MFD from Ricoh that does what you want. That way you don't have to drop £600+ on a set of OEM toners. There are various frameworks for it too, which bring the price down. We got ours via a Crescent Consortium framework, but there are a few around!

These are proper archival solution scanners and are built like a brick outhouse.
