We are just starting to look at Pocket Pars for the PE and Drama departments to do registration. However we cannot currently get it to sync more than one PDA at a time, has anyone found a way of doing this? as we would like to have half a dozen or more PDAs connected to one machine that the staff could collect them from.

Cheers

We use two PDAs for our PE Dept, set up each within Activesync so they both have a different profile PDA1 and PDA2, under File-Mobile Device. When this is done all your PDAs should be listed. You can only sync them using a single cradle changing each device after closing the PDA manager, re-opening the PDA manager starts the connection process and they then sync. Hope this helps.

I use pocket pars here, i'm having problems downloading the registers from pars to the ipaq's. I connect via a wireless connection and can view my registers, however, when i try to donload the day data it doesn't work. Can anyone help with this?

petectid, we've got it working like that currently, swopping the PDAs out after each one has synched, but I was hoping there was a way to get them all to sync at the same time, any ideas?

dezt, to download the whole days registers you need to press the little camera icon in the top right for each teacher, or dock the PDA and use the PDA manager built into full Pars.

Acticsync does not see more than one craddle, and PARs has to have the PDA manager closed to re-initialize the sync process so you have to change the PDAs between syncing, spoke with a tech at Task about this, its one at a time stuff I'm afraid. Though if you find a hack post it here but until then multiple syncs are a no go.

I only know Bromcom as the only company that can do this sort of thing. It works with SIMS but do not know how/if it will when you also have PARS.
