When I was a lad, the classified ads and newsagents windows were always full of used motorbikes for sale. Now, you may see the odd Chinese scooter but little else. What there is on ebay seems very expensive.

There is one in my Mother In Law's utility room. LeBoyfriend can't bear to part with his prized possession but he can't ride it due to his carpal tunnel.

Running into this right now. Everyone selling their old learner bikes thinks they can get shedloads for it, despite replacing half the parts after dropping it twenty times.

Basically decided that getting a new and more expensive bike on finance is the best option for commuting right now.

I got mine through biker friends. One of those my mate has a mate who is getting rid of one, got a beautiful old 1986 MZ TS 125 in spanking condition for £350 a few years ago. Not ridden for ages as my CBT ran out.

I'm having a similar problem right now. Someone decided to drive straight into the front of my vespa during the holidays, smashed up the whole of my bike, and me aswell -.- Its beyond repair so its been written off but looking for a decent replacement isn't going very well at the moment.
