jaminben Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Hi, I'm trying to deploy Windows 7 X64 with UEFI using SCCM 2012 R2 PXE but keep getting the error shown in the attached screenshot when the laptop re-boots... I have seen methods using a memory stick but I'd rather not go that route for now. I'm using a 64bit Win PE 5.0X boot image and I can deploy Windows 8.1 just fine but the laptop is a troublesome Toshiba C50. Anyone managed to deploy Windows 7 X64 UEFI using SCCM 2012 R2 PXE? Thanks Ben
Norphy Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Is SecureBoot enabled? If so, you won't be able to get W7 on there. You need to either kill SecureBoot or see if there's a 'legacy' bios mode
jaminben Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) Secure boot is disabled and legacy (CSM) just won't see the boot images (32 or 64 bit) which I think is down to the dodgy Toshiba C50 model as linked to in first post. Edited August 27, 2014 by jaminben
FN-GM Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 At what point do you get that error? Is it during the PXE boot? What OS is your SCCM distribution point server on?
Norphy Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That looks to me that the OS Image is getting deployed but is erroring when it tries to boot. I've seen that on machines with SecureBoot enabled which is why I mentioned it. A USB stick may be your quickest route here.
DannyG555 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Do you have UEFI partition step in your task sequence? We managed to get it working with the following step: Thanks for your help with the driver selection methods, we've got that working a treat now 1

I'll have to try using a USB but I don't hold out too much hope as its a dodgy Toshiba C50 so we may just have to start deploying Windows 8 sooner rather than later. At least if you stick it in BIOS mode then boot it from a USB stick, it should build and boot as you don't have to pick up a boot image from PXE. 1

After it reboots... it installs everything ok or appears to. I'm running Server 2012 R2 with Config Manager 2012 R2 and using a 64bit Win PE 5.0X boot image.
