Hi all,

Car is due for MOT very soon, I usually give my car a once over every week.. since Ive been in the motor trade I like to make sure everything is spot on... however I've noticed that there's no undertray on the engine... probs removed by the previous owner.

does anyone know if it Is this an MOT fail ?

Thanks all

The vast majority of our cars have never had a tray... including both our current ones. The only one that I can remember having a tray was our Laguna in the 1990s. It is definitely not required... and probably was never fitted in the first place.

Thanks for that advice everyone....I just wanted to sort of throw it out there and see what anyone else had experience with... I know not all cars have them but mine was designed to have one so ya never know.

Thanks all....much appreciated.

Definitely not! I ran my old car without an under-tray for a few years and it flew through MOT's (I took mine off intentionally as it was dragging on the floor).
