I lost interest when I could solo and farm MC.

MC was the first dungeon that my guild raided as a group, back when only one or two guilds had taken down Rag.

Anyone else have a bank vault full of tier 0.5, 1 and 2 gear?

My priest, paladin and warriors bags are bursting at the seems with old gear, priest has all sets as it was a main of mine for a long time in TBC and LK and everything was farmed then with ease. Benediction quest was fun as was the hunter epic bow quest.

Same deal for me, my Shaman and warrior are just inundated with crap that i thought i might have needed but 8+ years later it's not quite the case :p

Quite a few memories came back to me looking through mine though like the Hydroxian water bottle thing that you needed to put out the runes in MC, the Unstoppable Force mace from AV. Seems like I also had a thing for collecting Shoulder Pads for my orc - thank god for transmog these days otherwise i'd have felt a bit sillier.

Neeeeeecrobuuuuuuuump!

So, a buddy got me back into playing WoW >.> That's right. Judge me. I'm judging myself :p

Playing a Horde Elf* Hunter on Ragnorak(Ragnorok?).. Since I've found myself to be enjoying it I pre-ordered WoD and boosted to 90 (from 46). And now I'm bored xD Need to find myself a guild.

I do have a Lv50. Undead Warlock, but I just can't get the hang of it.. I have about 12DPS..

* I forget which species of Elf the Horde have

Bah WoW has been downgraded with the latest patch to have neon outlines to tell people what are characters and what are npc's

Depending on your warlock spec, it's a simple 3 button combo once you get to 90.

I don't care for the outlines either myself, too much like other inferior MMOs :p

Warlock is easy, guilds are not all that necessary now because of battle.net, you can add me if you want my tag is on the other thread and the fact you can cross realm invite your friends to help you now means its a godsend.

That being said - Ragnaros - plenty big queues when WoD lands ill wager, I jumped my chars off there because of that a while back when free migrations were offered.

i think i might have brought MoP but became annoyed with the game as it required too much time, so i drifted into SC2 which is fine but that has a huge skill wall to climb to enjoy it and i miss the social of WoW, can i justify resubing and purchasing the expac for the social aspect

Guilds aren't necessary, no, but I find I enjoy things much more with a regular social group.

So it costs to migrate from one server to another, but you can still party and instance with people on other servers? Is that what you're saying?

You can do "Friends based" groups, as long as your on a friends list you can invite each other over to your realms, also I believe you can now do cross-realm guilds if your in the same server group too

Some realms were too low pop so they merged them. My realm, Dragonblight, got merged with Ghostlands.

So we're now technically one realm, but still two separate ones in the server list. Now when I hit the 11 character per server limit, I can roll on Ghostlands and still see everyone from Dragonblight, join the same groups, guilds etc, as we're the same realm.

It worked out pretty nicely for serial altoholics, my mate's got 11 90s on our server, so he was playing on others until we pointed out if he used Ghostlands he can still join in with everything.

I got an EMail from Blizzard about a free trial or something for the new patch. This legit? 0.o

Yes. Possibly. There is a legit WoW free trial that allows you a mostly full account*, up to Level 20 per character (which I actually used before deciding to purchase the game fully), but the email may not be legit.

* You can't whisper somebody unless they whisper you first (or add you to friends), you can't do pet battles, you can't use the mail system (probably to prevent free account mules) and a few other tiny things, but honestly nothing massive that will get in the way of you deciding if you like it or not.

Quite possibly, I've had free weeks from them etc in the past. Just check the emails, you can usually tell if it's fake.

It ran fine on Ubuntu for me about 6 months back, I didnt fiddle with WINE directly though, I used the "Playonlinux" program to configure it, only had one issue which was Alt-Tabbing - it caused issues with targetting back then for me if I alt tabbed.

There have been some free week giveaways recently, to try and entice people back into the Expansion also, though I think in majority of cases your better off logging into Battle.Net there than trust an email, I think the offers and free time just auto configure for the weeks they give away.

Might try it later then. Got to make sure it runs nice on WINE first. :p

If you don't have a WoW account linked your Battle.NET account you can just login to Battle.NET and activate the WoW 'Starter pack' (which is the Lv20 restricted version I mentioned earlier).. If you already have an account, I'm not sure.. Then it's something like £5 to upgrade to a 'full' account (which includes 30 days game time), and I think it was around £35 for WoD pre-order (which gives you a free boost to Lv90 for one character.. But you don't have to redeem that immediately, so you could save it if you wanted.)

What I toyed with the idea of doing is manually grinding my Hunter to Lv90 and starting a healer and boosting it for the inevitable "We're stuck in this raid and we need another healer" moments, but since I don't have a Guild yet I figured eh, screw it.

I have an account already with a scary amount of /played on it... ;)

I cancelled as I wasn't playing and OpenGL mode was crashing and burning on startup when I moved OS and did go to try it. Wondering the new patch may have fixed it though!

I started again last weekend and I have currently got a level 45 human monk with 2000g (inflation has been crazy it seems), really enjoying it!

Oh and to answer someone's question regarding a trial, there was a 7 day free subscription to the full game, though I think that expires this weekend.

Whaaaaaaaaat?! By the time I was halfway ding'd, I only had around 150G

I've gone for skinning and herbalism, been raking it in on the AH. Game is easy.

Edit: Sorry just checked Remote AH, now upto 2250g. I just sold 2 Heavy Hides for 25g each.
