Really appreciate the responses and your time writing them. Seems a real advocation for Ipad and Chromebook - are these down to just ease of use/setup? We are a 365 school so makes it just a little bit harder for us to think about adopting something that naturally works better with apple/google. Or am I wrong in thinking this way?

Hi All, My Digital strategy lead has asked me to gather some information on his behalf as we are about to go down the 1 to 1 device route. What he's looking for is something along the lines of: * Wireless info - what system do you use? how many clients? * Did you need to do any specific backend upgrades to support the transition? * What devices are people using for their students? Any recommendations? * Did anyone who's gone down this road use any external companies that have helped/are supporting the transition? * Do you have any recommendations or warnings for implementing a 1 to 1 scheme? Any information received is much appreciated. PM if more comfortable. (Equally - mods if this better suited in another forum please move it). Thanks

RDR2 is a complete prequel to the first so you'd get away without knowing anything about the first's story. As someone who bought it on launch and approaching a month later am still playing it daily having only just finished the story, I can't recommend the game enough if it's up your alley.

Soundgarden were a cornerstone of my taste in music as a angsty teen. What a great voice, he will be sadly missed.

I'm loving Overwatch also, only regret I have is that I haven't put more time into it so far (although did seem to "lose" a couple of hours yesterday to it and I haven't done that for a long time). I really think they have done a stellar job with the characters, they all have great personalities and are genuinely quite likeable but it's a game that's obviously better played with others you know and can count to stand on points/push the payload etc and not have three Hanzo's stood trying to snipe people. That said I've really enjoyed what I've played and I'm sure I will continue to do so as I climb up the ranks and they add ranked mode etc.

It's worth mentioning that it's got Steam Workshop support also if looking at Mods etc are up your alley. May alleviate some of the issues people have with the game in time. I'm loving it so far but only managed to put about 4 or 5 hours into it this week, like others have said if you like the previous one then it's worth considering.

Bought Darkest Dungeon now it's got it's full release out of early access. Great fun, if not more than a little tense going into battles with your heroes on the brink of insanity/heart attacks!

The copy of Fallout 4 on Xbox one includes a code for the backward-compatible version of Fallout 3 to download so possibly also more incentive for them to do that first over Skyrim

Been really enjoying it (I'm a fan of the other 2 and the books). It does seem to open up quite a lot after the first big event in the first map (don't want to spoil anything) but does seem to be quite heavily level-gated. Have ran into stuff that has been 3 or 4 times my level quite quickly by running off on my own(although hasn't been impossible to kill stuff a lot higher than me, even on the second to highest difficulty) so can imagine it's quite easy to get overwhelmed by exploring. The Witcher sense mode is quite an interesting take though and does add a bit of a different dimension to it, looking for peoples footsteps/blood/clues to what people have left behind etc - reminds me a lot of the detective mode from the arkham games. Enjoying it a lot and can't wait to play more.

Yeah it's adapting the same sort of model that Guild Wars 2 uses, buy the box and your good to go. Although whether they will charge for expansions/addon's/dlc feature packs - I would assume likely but have no idea (haven't followed the game since it launched). PS4 version is down on Amazon as 9th June. I do agree with some of the sentiment in here though, it seemed alright but wasn't a game changer for me so didn't keep playing it.

FF14 Hearthstone Heroes of the Storm Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Rogue Legacy Have kept me fairly engrossed enough not to go out and impulse buy other games for a little while.

Blizzard Press Center They probably won't be heartbroken with giving 5 days out if they can keep the subscribers going back up/steady (+2.6 million from quarter 3) but yeah obviously you don't wanna lose what impact you've gained by throwing it all away to server issues. Heard good things from my friends list while i've been playing Heroes of the Storm when it has been playable though. I've not bought back into it again yet (albeit it does look interesting) - you guys enjoying it when you can get in?

I was a big fan of the 2nd one, the humor and loot hunting really clicked with me so this one definitely on my wishlist at the moment. Loved playing as Krieg, such a risk reward style if you specced for it but nothing quite like turning into a Mutant Psycho Badass.

Got to level 5 yesterday and was having fun buzzing round on my Sparrow before I logged off. Got my arse handed to me by the big spider robot though while I was trying to do the bounties I picked up. Definitely enjoying it a lot.

That's how i felt, managed to get enough time to play it for a couple hours and do the first few levels of Old Russia (I didn't play the beta) and really enjoyed it. Really is Borderlands and Halo's baby with a pinch of Mass Effect for good measure. Looking forward to going back to my Titan later and punching fallen in the face.

Same deal for me, my Shaman and warrior are just inundated with crap that i thought i might have needed but 8+ years later it's not quite the case Quite a few memories came back to me looking through mine though like the Hydroxian water bottle thing that you needed to put out the runes in MC, the Unstoppable Force mace from AV. Seems like I also had a thing for collecting Shoulder Pads for my orc - thank god for transmog these days otherwise i'd have felt a bit sillier.

It's a good point. I guess ultimately you are talking about a 10 year old game in November with 4/5 expansions and however many smaller content patches under it's belt so it definitely is difficult to keep everything relevant. By this expansion they have killed off just about most heroes/anti heroes that could be conceived as villains (sometimes twice) and now are resurrecting them to kill off again (even if it is a new Universe/Time skewed off in a weird tangent because Garrosh somehow has escaped his trial and got himself a delorian to save his Dad). I loved Warcraft 3 and it's a shame a sequel to that seems in the same realms of possibility of getting a 3rd Half Life. For all it's problems and niggles I could pick holes in, it's a great game and still has the biggest player base despite steady declines (which i suspect Warlords won't stop entirely). I'd probably have carried on had i still been a part of a decent community, like you say - community does make these games what they are.

I agree with the sentiment with a few of the other opinions here with it fizzling out after WOTLK (certainly did for me but was for my own reasons I stopped. Played since day 1 - guild died, burnt myself out raiding heroic raids for a long time etc). That said from what i've played of Mists of Pandaria lately (on and off for a few months) I have really enjoyed it, it's been good fun to get my Fury Warrior out for a last hurrah almost. There is still a lot of enjoyment there to be had if your in the mood for it.

Some good stories in a couple of newer ones that people have mentioned i'd definitely agree with - Last of Us and Mass Effect (while i do agree 3 was weaker - I was so invested by this point after playing all 3 back to back that I enjoyed it loads anyway). Few other ones i can think of that were pretty good: Suikoden 1 & 2, Snatcher (Blade runner esque adventure/dectective game with shooting sequences - think there were several versions but still replay the voice acted Mega CD one every so often), Lost Odyssey. I love the emotion some games stir though, guess that's why i've put so many hours in over the years.

Good way of doing it to gauge interest. Best way to do it sometimes, did the Prepare to Die edition add an extra boss? or am i making that up? Although now i'm thinking of more pokemon comparisons (those 2 very apt ) chrome gpo's don't seem quite as interesting..

I was trying not to spoil it too much in case you hadn't seen so many of the bosses yet but i definitely have the names Ornstein and Smough branded into my mind somewhere. Sold. Well played.
