So his property's been searched... that doesn't imply guilt, it just confirms that an allegation has been made... Hope it's not true, but then again there's not much that'd surprise me these days... Edited by davethetekkie

Absolutely. And in many respects if he isn't guilty of anything it may be to his advantage for there to be an investigation, which would find no evidence and kill the rumours rather than letting the speculation drag on.

All I will say is, I said such and such people were up to no good many years ago, and I was right about them. But I don't think CR is one of those who was up to no good. I might be proven wrong, but my gut says no.

Hope this doesn't turn out to be true, it'll leave me with a bit of a moral dilemma. I actually like a lot of the music. I doubt there's many people upset with not being able to play Garry Glitter or Rolf Harris songs. I grew up on Cliff music, pretty much my Dads entire record collection. We played Miss You Nights at his funeral.

What's the moral stance on playing music from convicted pedophiles at full volume?

You'll probably get a severe tutting. But nobody will actually say anything because we're British.

If only it worked like that. Once the brush sticks it remains there, especially in the social media trial-by-Twitter age.

Had to cleanse my music collection of all Lostprophets (was there largely for nostalgia value) because every time it came on it made me feel physically sick. A shame though, some good memories attached to some of those songs.

It's a shame the music gets tainted. I did think of Lostprophets 'fans' (is that even allowed now?). I never liked them but lots did. Hopefully the remaining musicians will reclaim the best songs in their new band?

Still hoping Sir Cliff doesn't leave me having to make that moral choice!

That's something that BBC DJ Mark Radcliffe has been vocal on in the past regarding Garry Glitter. He was a key figure in the glam rock era and produced some classic hits which have now been airbrushed from history.
