sister_annex Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Stuff like this really makes you think... ... I really need Halon protection in my server room :/
Garacesh Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Anyone else not seeing attachments today? @Dos_Box, Edugeek dun' goof'd, or just me?
MrKJLS Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Anyone else not seeing attachments today? @Dos_Box, Edugeek dun' goof'd, or just me? I can't see the images either.
hardtailstar Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Anyone else not seeing attachments today? @Dos_Box, Edugeek dun' goof'd, or just me? nope not seeing them.
sister_annex Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I tried two separate posts and the images are not showing in either, show fine in the editor though...
localzuk Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 If you try and open the images in a new tab, that works. EDIT: Correction, they did when the links weren't sending me to the CDN.
Garacesh Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 If you try and open the images in a new tab, that works. Right you are! Bloody heck @sister_annex, that's no good! Hopefully that's the only casualty?
sister_annex Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 It was the only casualty thankfully... but it really does make you think!! what was even more worrying was the server it was connected to was still on - the hard drive was fried but there was will power going to the machine...
jbunoomally Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Wouldn't happen to be Amphenol connectors would it? We had exactly the same happen here a few months back - think they were in some ageing HP kit. We then checked every server and desktop to replace similar components - did a bot of googling at the time and it's known to happen with this particular manufacturers' component. JB. 1
Grey-gear Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 What on earth happened to the wire, that looks really bad.
sister_annex Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Not sure but it is HP kit that it came out of, apparently HP issued a recall on that particular part number but we didn't know that until we phoned HP this morning! Advisories, bulletins & notices for HP ProLiant ML110 G5 Storage Server - HP Support Center
Grey-gear Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Do you have many more of them on site? Well hope you and your colleagues are all ok
sister_annex Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Yeah it was nothing too bad tbh just a failed server and the headache of sorting that out. It's just one of those things that makes you think! I've been at this school for 10 years and never seen anything like this! Thanks for your concern though
