laserblazer Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Torched the lovely children's play area in our Lido park. Edited July 3, 2014 by laserblazer
Novalee Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 That's awful! How thoughtless, all the work and money that will cost to be put right, if it doesn't just get left. What a shame.
speckytecky Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Sad that - and such a deprivation of a good recourse from those who deserved to have it there to enjoy. I was going to say it's probably been done by youth whose parents / carers are first in line complaining that there's 'nothing for the kids to do in the town' but probably the culprits are the spawn of people who just don't give a care anyhow.
Grey-gear Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 What was the piont of setting that on fire? Hopefully the people responce-able are arrested.
abillybob Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I presume no one hopefully was hurt? A bunch of kids from my Secondary school decided to set fire to the spar and steal all the Cig's when I lived in Telford it was the worst fire I had ever seen with a Doctors Surgery on the right of it and homes starting to catch fire also!
Davit2005 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Unfortunately a few mindless few individuals have little respect for anything or anyone there are various reasons for this I think. Edited July 3, 2014 by Davit2005
speckytecky Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Yes let's hope so. Sadly they will be prosecuted by the soft system we have and given some community service no doubt. Bring back a system of justice I say. What was the piont of setting that on fire? Hopefully the people responce-able are arrested.
Garacesh Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Hmmm.....Fixt. Whilst I don't disagree with you, I'm pretty sure we have enough young offenders to not actually need to dip into the pool of decent human beings. Absolute shame when people do this kind of thing. I don't understand why 'rebelling' is such a big thing for kids of today? And to this degree? This isn't just a group of bad kids, given how often things like this happen, there's something bigger beyond this.. Edited July 3, 2014 by Garacesh
Grey-gear Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 2 x 14 year olds have been charged with this today. Good to hear, thanks for the up date.
laserblazer Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 It said 17 year olds on our local news. An Estate Agent in town started a collection and has raised £25K. This has already been ordered and the council hope to have it installed as soon as possible. It's called "Planet Fortress" and I can't wait to go on it. 1
