Abaddon Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Normally, we have a charity come in and collect all out empty cartridges (toner and ink), but they have not been able to now for quite some time. I have a considerable number building up here... What do you guys/girls all do with these? I've seen a couple of options, but they either a) want me to pay(!) or b) they only take specific types which have to be itemised. Is this normal now?
SiliconAlley_Sam Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 We can take all toner cartridges for recycling. We just send you over some recycling boxes and then arrange to have them collected once you've filled them up. No charge or itemisation required.
Abaddon Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 Thanks Sam, I'll throw your details to my tech.

eyetea Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 We used to use a charitable company that would come and collect when we had a decent amount of them. However one of our students, a member of a local Scout group, asked if he could take them for fundraising. We checked it through senior management and now when we have a box the size we think he can carry to his parents car we send him an email / catch him in the corridors and say his next batch is ready!
fiza Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 We use Recycle Ink & Printer Cartridges | Ink Cartridge Recycling They offer a points system which equates to some Amazon vouchers or you can donate the money to charity.
Danp Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Most companies offer a free post label for download, stick that on box, postie takes away. I do this with Kyocera, HP, Brother and Epsons.

Do you offer this free service to those with compatible toners too? As we have alot of Xerox branded (HP) toners....if so we need many boxes from you!
