PrimaryTech Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Hi all, I've got about 16 desktops plus some monitors and other bits that need to be disposed of. Being an academy we can't use the County waste sites, can anyone recommend a WEEE disposal firm that would puck up the kit and recycle it? We're based in Cornwall and would need the drives wiping. Thanks in advance
6Foot2 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 We used these guys most recently: Link: SR Waste Recycling - WEEE Recycling and Free Electrical Waste Collection Leeds They were very accomodating: We were unable to give them an accurate estimate for items to be collected. They came and collected what they could even though there was eventually a lot more equipment than we originally indicated. Friendly too.
speckytecky Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Used these guys several times now - free, excellent, accommodating service. IT Disposal | LCWS Computer Recycling
Jasbo Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 + 1 for prm green In my experience they are: Always on time Always easy to deal with Always provide full disposal paperwork Always give you free mugs
rush_tech Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 We use PRM Green Technologies. Another vote for PRM! I love free Mugs
laserblazer Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Note to Mel France. How come I've never had a free mug???
HTCPCP Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 We use PRM too, however it can be rather annoying now they have increased their limit. Free mugs are brilliant, even if they do keep disappearing from our office...
dave.81 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Bit late to join in but been using PRM for a couple of years too.
samba_man Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Another vote for PRM (Especially after we kicked up and they now give everyone asset registers and data destruction certificates by default!) I do seem to remember that there is a minimum limit of items though.
Fazza Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 We use PRM Green Technologies. So do we - no problems so far and you get a certificate of destruction etc. for you records. Oh, and they're drivers also give away free mugs (sometimes) when they collect all your stuff!!
richardmanning Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Hi laserblazer, I will arrange to send you one, so send a private message with your details and I will sort!!
