LeMarchand Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Mine was an LotR themed meal (Mme LeMarchand is a big fan) and, despite the printed menu, she never realised what treasure the dessert concealed: SMAUG’S HORDE: Chocolate cups filled with an exotic fruit cocktail of pomegranate rubies, ingots of golden plum, slivers of kiwi-fruit jade, and blueberry sapphires - lightly dusted with caster sugar snow from the Lonely Mountain and jealously guarded by a dragon folded from paper in the Easterling manner. Who knows what treasures you may find?
LeMarchand Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Why would anyone do that? Well, she said yes ! (Would have been pretty awful if she hadn't).
pcstru Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Well, she said yes ! Sorry, I meant getting married. ;-)
Mcshammer_dj Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Sorry, I meant getting married. ;-) As a sign of the love you both feel and the desire to show this to the world. and the Tax benefits
localzuk Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Yeah, I don't get the public proposal thing. Surely a proposal is a very personal thing? A friend of mine proposed on national radio on the Isle of Man during TT week...
abillybob Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 My girlfriend will be lucky if she even gets a ring. Pfft cringe-worthy much..
Hawkeyez Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I "proposed" last week (we had already decided to marry), but still wanted to do. She said she didnt want anything public, or expensive. In the end got this.... Love Hearts Trinket Box With Marry Me and message on the wrapper. I was worried to cheesy, but made her cry (in a good way)

Hawkeyez Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 We have matching invites too. Penciled in for the 18th October this year, but we may have to bring forward.
fairm010 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I proposed on Christmas Day just gone, just the two of us. I see it as a personal thing.
