[sims] SIMS Validating address - "No valid matching addresses were found"

Hi all,

 

Anyone else get this for a few addresses when trying to validate within SIMS? I have had two recently and wondered what the process was? I logged with Capita and they advised that I email Ordnance Survey which I have done but not sure what their reply will be, anyone gone through this process and managed to get it sorted?

Most people valid against the LA system - seeming as duff addresses cause suspense in B2B.

An address that isn't validated won't cause a school too much trouble. It usually happens when a new estate/house is built and Ordinance Survey hasn't caught up. As @Matt40 says many LAs point SIMS to their database which could well be more up to date (LAs approve all house builds)

 

Accurate addresses are really important though as social services may need to know exactly where a child is living.
