  1. Hi All, I am having issues installing WSUS on my Server 2012 R2 DC. I have installed the service fine with no issues, I just cannot run the post installation task without it failing. I have attached my log file. If anyone has came across this before then please feel free to tell me where I am going wrong!. Thanks. WSUS Error.txt
  2. Are the users who cant see the SIMS shortcut, able to browse or run to c:\program files or (x86)\SIMS\SIMS .net\Pulsar.exe Are there any group policies that restrict the desktop for certain staff?
  3. I had same issue when migrating to SQL 2014. This from Capita resolved it for me:- Can you please go to your setups folder and then run SIMSSQLApplicationSetup and point it towards a brand new folder. Once it has finished running then copy the contents and paste them into your old SQL binn folder and your new SQL binn folder replacing all the files it asks you too. Do not run the SIMSSQLapplicationSetup.exe directly to both the binn folders as it may skip over the files instead of replacing them. Once you have done this then run the migration again and make sure you are using the SA account to run it.
  4. Is this the first time you have tried upgrading Discover? Have you defined all definitions to do with Discover within Solus3 and then deployed it?. I would check you can still log into Discover on the server and can still run the data transfer using the admin utility.. Part of the Discover upgrade includes compact SQL so dont worry about that part....
  5. Installed the patch this morning on a workstation with the issue, didn't even need a restart, worked straight away.
  6. Yeah that's correct. Once you deploy the SIMS 2015 Spring update, you will see that it will upgrade the databases first. If this ever fails then you would need to check that you have downloaded the database updates within SOLUS 3, but looking at your screenshot, it is already there so you should have no problems!
  7. You just need to highlight "SIMS 2015 Spring" and then click on deploy, as you have already downloaded the other updates needed for this to run, it will deploy fine.
  8. Are you able to install the SOLUS 3 agent manually by exporting from the deployment server?
  9. Just tried the exact same and now its working! Thank you! If only SIMS gave a simple error message like "Report not found"!!!
  10. I also have the same problem after a SIMS migration to a new server. Has yours just suddenly occurred or have you also migrated?
  11. When setting up SOLUS3 you will of defined an Update Repository to store the updates when they are downloading
  12. SOLUS3 does not update the setups folder like SOLUS2 used to, have you defined your FMS database like you have with SIMS? If you check within SOLUS3 targets-databases do you just have your SIMS database listed or is the FMS one there too? If it is it may be worth double checking the config entered and make sure the SA password entered is correct.
  13. Have you deployed FMS using SOLUS3 before?
  14. I have had the exact same issue in the past, Capita managed to get it sorted by making changes within SQL management studio although I cant for the life of me remember what they changed...but it can be done....sorry I couldn't be of more help!
  15. I had issues on some and some worked fine. Basically the ones that had issues just seemed to freeze on the install, Check in add/remove programs to see what parts of SOLUS weren't upgraded. To fix mine I done the following:- * Took a backup of database * Manually uninstalled SOLUS 3 database * Manually run the SOLUS 3 database upgrade entering server details etc (it will tell you the database already exists so will just upgrade exisiting) * Manually run the SOLUS 3 deployment server UI Once I done this, SOLUS was fine. NOTE: I had to get the install files sent from Capita to do the above.
