Get a really cheap Android tablet, download and install the test version of LearnPad, Demo LearnPad to Staff. After the staff see you can switch from a tablet themed on Greeks to SEN based tablet in seconds they will get it.

Nope, iPads are perfect.

lol

What about being able to select any learnpad from the smartboard / projector pc and display or take control of their tablet.

It's not me that needs convincing...i have given them my opinions on the matter before and they are well aware of other alternatives. =[

I wonder how many arguments would be averted if someone would PLEASE invent sarcasm tags for forums. Should make the text look bold and spiky or something like that LOL

Exactly! With no thought for the poor Network Managers who have to move mountains to make these devices work in a way that will improve learning, and or / help staff work smarter.

Agree that's why or journey with Learnpad has been so exciting. Took me all of 30min using QR scanning to get 60 devices enrolled and on the wifi. Lesson and device management is so teacher friendly. Early problems with wifi and the dual core devices sorted with the help of the excellent service, no longer an issue with the new Quad core dualband devices.

Were applied for a grant, if we get it we are getting a large quantity of learnpads and community wifi, so they can use them at school and home.

So..... sent a learnpad demonstration video to the head to have a look at and she wants to trial one! WINNING!

Can people who have used them describe to me how they're managed, how the deployment of apps work? Is there something similar to Apple's VPP? How easy they are to deploy? What use do the QR Codes help with? and anything else you may want to include, this could really be the day iPads will be gotten rid of for good :D!

Very simple. On the website you create a desktop with folders and apps, you give it a name and it gets assigned a QR code. You can then select any number of the learnpads from the website and deploy your desktop or scan the QR code to install the desktop to an individual Learnpad.
