  1. How do you mean easier one to one than class sets?
  2. LearnPad - The Tablet Computer Designed for Education Have a free browse through Learnpad's store their tablets and management system have been set up or schools. You can't download but at least you will have ideas.
  3. Full coverage with a managed ARUBA System. 18APs inc an external aerial
  4. Concur that's why we followed the learnpad route; (apart from wireless issues with the older dual core devices resolved through firmware update and issues with our line speed) the tablets have been easy to set up and manage. All apps are educational based and they are now in the final stages of aligning the lesson profiles and apps in line with the new curriculum.
  5. Agree that's why or journey with Learnpad has been so exciting. Took me all of 30min using QR scanning to get 60 devices enrolled and on the wifi. Lesson and device management is so teacher friendly. Early problems with wifi and the dual core devices sorted with the help of the excellent service, no longer an issue with the new Quad core dualband devices.
  6. Want real management of tablets look at Learnpads.
  7. we adapted the tools default setup and added a shortcut to Google ..
  8. Really? researching is a doddle using the tool menu and web browser. Surely most things need to be pre-planned and authenticated to give you control over content. we had a small problem with some of our dual core tablets dumping the wireless, however a firmware fix seems to have fixed that and you sure the problem with speed isn't your network. have you raised your concerns with Learnpad?
  9. Agree still trying to find a job descriptor that best describes everything I do
  10. unfortunately not . Just a reply to the thread title. Suppose it might have been prudent to introduce myself first Still a good product nonetheless...
  11. thankfully yes a dry part...in fact if this part were to be flooded, I would expect Noah to float past
  12. Hi ICT Co-ordinator and part time techy mmm is that the right way round ...anyway work at a primary school in Gloucester ..
  13. Agree the learnpad looks and does the business especially for primary schools. We have recently bought 60 units of the latest tablet after an in school demo and we were are not disappointed with our acquisition. For any ICT coordinators who fill in the technician role (because they know a little) the job of setting the devices up on the system and file sharing to our server couldn't be simpler with use of QR code scanning. ..1/2 a day from box to child ready. Most of the time spent unpacking and feeding the power cables through the charging unit. 15min to register the tablets , apply wireless setting, load the first set of resources using QR code scanning and the powerful management tool for uploading resources . Read the info on their website it does what it says on the box.. our teachers love them for the easy to use classroom management tool, the children think the Ipads are fantastic (need reminding constantly its an android tablet) and we can buy more educational friendly devices for our money compared to commercial units.. its been win win so far..
