Not allowed to change avatar through out the duration of any verypc competitions then ? I thought I would try and make it a bit harder to find out who was who seeing as people now know about the google image search

 

Have changed my avatar back for now just in case and can change it again later on if we are allowed to

 

The rules stated that you ( @VeryPC ) still use the original avatar that people had ?

Not that you're not allowed, just it is intentionally deceiving people, not making it harder. Not everyone has a good memory, so short of screenshotting every entrant (and this doesn't include those that entered by PM and not posting on here), it would be nigh impossible to know say 2 weeks down the line if yours was picked and the avatar was different.

Finally managed to watch the video. (Congrats BoxMan, whoever you are! I don't think they've posted on the thread very often - if at all.) I'd set the wrong port on the proxy settings so Smoothwall was classing my lovely new VeryPC as an unauthenticated IP.

We're not asking people to maintain their avatars for the competition. It doesn't matter as we have our reference image from when you entered anyway. So change away if you like, though it won't really gain anyone any advantage.

 

Your accounts are your accounts - we're not going to tell you what to do with them.
